Scandals & idol images

allkpop.com201211way-back-wednesday-scandals This is the only reference I am giving to AKP

So I found this link about scandals past scandals and really UI do not see how some are scandals at all . They claim IU and Eunhyuk is a big scandal how is it a scandal that two adults are dating? if in fact they are and why exactly does it matter? who is making these mole hills into Mountains?

most of these things state clear as day the real scandal was to the fans and the fans reactions. Because they somehow believe over the course of time that in the world of entertainment Fan = GOD but it doesn't Fan is fan and god is well the lord almighty or a Korean male group who split up.

There is one reason why Fans consider these things scandals and get upset when their idols get involved in sticky situations. You paint the idols as something more than mere mortals.

So and so is Mr innocent church going fear of god never do wrong type of guy so when something bad happens and he is involved with it OMG! it's the end of the world because his false image has been tarnished.

Idols have Personas and Fans forget that fact and expect them to be that way at all times. Living a lie is no easy feat and they cannot do it 24/7 regardless of how talented they are as actors. Some Artists Hate having to act a certain way and have even admitted to being told the fans would not like them if they acted like themselves. That sirs is bullshit! I will not deny personality is important to me and to some others but seriously half the bimbos out there go for the guy they find the best looking and sounds the most amazing to them and then they like the personality as long as he is hawt and can sing and dance good her insides quiver, OMG did he just try to be cute Amazing! I like Oppa so much more now OMG Oppa looks so sexy when he is angry1 these girls are twisted visuals are the most important to half the floozies out there . Which is doubly sad because it is also why cosmetic surgery is so accepted in Korea because looks are more important than personality such a shame.

As I told my friend Asia I was going to be writing a post about personas and how idols do not all like them and such she left me a comment I just have to share.
my comment and hers

I have one left I want to write about the personas they force onto idols and make them keep even when they are uncomfortable with them

Asia :" Exactly!!! Like Ji hyo and her persona on the "monday couple" or IU and the eunhyuk dating scandal. I'm so pissed off with that. If fans love their idols so much, they need to back the fuck off and stay out of their personal business EVEN IF info or photos were leaked. Who the fuck cares who Eunhyuk or IU are dating? Does it change who they are? No. Does it alter our lives in any way? Only shattering our silly fangirl/fanboy dreams, that's it. I'm tired of people always speculating to the point where they obsess over these rumors then sit there and try to tell me the picture is proof. Are they friends with the idol? Do they know them personally enough to say "YES! They are totally dating!"? No! Just ugh i stopped believing in rumors and socalled "evidence" a long time ago."

Here is something I will quote something I found on tumblr

"[INFO] Hyuna talks to her Antis by letter on Fancafe. “i’m sorry if I can be myself just sometimes.Sorry to be another off stage.I regret that the only thing that the agency sell is my sexy side.I regret that they can not see my true personality. Not me, that’s not my genuine personality. It’s uncomfortable, be seductive / “hot” and sexy all the time.My only relief is when I’m at home with my friends or my mother, with them I can be myself. They, besides my mother, are probably the only ones who know the real me.But, why people criticize me? You should know that as a celebrity, you need to have an image. And this is mine. I’m not always proud of it, and I prefer to act cute rather than sexy, but that’s how I’m supposed to be.People do not know me, and judge me by my personality on stage. Do not they realize that this makes me sad? They do not know that I cry every night because I can not be myself all the time. Do not know that I suffer from de pression since I left Wonder Girls? And yet, go ahead, tell me false, ugly bitch. You do not know that I suffer from chronic gastroenteritis?. You know that is incurable ‘. Why only see bad things and not the things that make me a human being? Why do they hate me? What have I done? These people .. those who hate me so much .. probably have more in common with me than you think. My parents divorced when I was a teenager, my father left. He and I have not spoken again. Or do not know how is going with. That’s why I have this tattoo, because my mother always supported my goals and dreams. I will always be grateful. Do not people see my tattoo? Do people not understand that I’m just a girl? A young girl, misunderstood. Please give me a chance. Please see this through my eyes."

Many girls who read this cried they sympathized or felt angry that she had to go through that all alone. What is her company thinking? they are merely thinking sex sells and that is that never mind if the artist isn't happy and doesn't want to do it as long as they are getting big bucks through her discomfort and misery nothing else matters.

This next part is taken from http://blog.mjohnso.com/post/25658661932/the-dual-identities-of-after-school

"Previously when discussing identity, I treated it as a very singular matter – that k-pop idols have multiple identities, and that the persona presented to fans is a construction meant to make them appeal to a large audience, and not their real selves. In essence, the person they presented on stage was an identity completely separate from their real, authentic selves. While these personas were subject to change from release to release, the case of After School shows that it also varies country to country.

Not to say that this is by any means a groundbreaking revelation. It has long been accepted that k-pop groups will need to tailor their image and concept to appeal to a target market. Yet while k-pop fans seem to accept this as a reality of the market, I can’t help but feel that is because, it’s not really a true reality. As of right now, most k-pop idols have been confined to Korea and Japan, two countries’ whose cultures are not radically different. Their remains a sense of unity, sameness between them.

What happens though, when idols finally do make a real move into other markets like the United States? As I have said before, idols images will need to undergo dramatic transformations, and thus there will be the creation of a new image, another constructed identity. How will fans feel if there are three different versions of their idols, or eventually four, or five? What if these idols are completely at odds with their first persona, their Korean one? And how will prospective fans in these new markets react to the existence of groups with different identities? Will they accept it as k-pop fans do now, or will it be simply be another mark against them?
This question of identity is of course contingent on how successful and responsive foreign markets are to k-pop idols in the first place. Yet even at this point, where it is not certain that this method is feasible, I still have some reservations about instituting utilizing it in the first place.

While most fans implicitly accept that what their favorite idols show them is a persona, one that obfuscates their real selves, outwardly people do not acknowledge this. They treat the personas as if that is who they really are. They are like the subjects in the story, “The Emperors New Clothes”, willing to keep up the pretense that the emperor is not naked, but wearing clothes, or in this case, that the idols fictive selves are fact. But they are certainly only willing to do it to a point. If entertainment agencies are doing little to hide it, letting the artificiality become too plain and open, it is going to become more difficult for fans to accept it, an act which in time would prove detreimental to fandom.

Eventually, someone would stand up like the child in the story, and point out that the emperor is indeed not wearing clothes, destroying the carefully constructed artifice."

it's much easier to just be yourself with some boundaries I could probably say there are several versions of myself that I show to the world. There are always some people you are able to be your full true self with you must always know how much of yourself to give and to whom. If you know you are being watched by people of all ages you restrict yourself from certain behaviors and word choices and the likes.
themes concepts sure fine no one said you can't have those but some people have personalities that are different from what they are told to act like.

Lee Joon is known as Babo (which means idiot) by his fans which is terribly rude to me. someone on tumblr maintains that Lee joon stopped exercising due not to laziness but to being called Babo Muscles.

Yoochun they wanted to appear weaker then the rest so he was not to work out with the others when they were.

Hyuna must be a sex symbol regardless if she would rather be the girl next door.

Song Seunghyun and ftisland have been treated pretty rudely asked rude questions or asked questions in a nonflattering way . and they are not the only ones.

There are few entertainers who are able to be themselves without being reprimanded there are two entertainers I can think of who get away with speaking their minds and that is Kim Heechul Oppa and Jang Keun Suk.

Fans are just people and Entertainers are just people too one is not more important than the other everyone deserves to be treated well with respect. Everyone has the right to privacy their private lives should be theirs to enjoy as they want as long as no one is being harmed and everything is legal. Entertainers are grateful to their fans but that does not mean they should become cardboard cutouts for them. Fans are important to entertainers but that does not mean they should act like they own the entertainer and pry into their private lives at the end of the day we get an awful lot from our idols without having to snoop through their lives. They appear on television for us are in magazine interviews and televised ones as well , put on fanmeets, concerts and other events and yet still people try to hunt them down and control them your greed is too much.

Netizen Arrested

http://www.askkpop.com/article/Netizen-arrested-for-malicious-comments-about-Wonder-Girls-Sohee/#.UoGqBCfCWyI

After reading this article many people raised their hands in the air clapping and cheering for JYP in that moment everyone had the same thought "JYP YOU DA MAN!"

However sometime later some started to think "why not do more?" or "why is it only the females that seem to be treated so well " 2PM is known to have the most anti fans out of all the entertainers. Did he do the same towards their attackers? or is it because they are men they can handle everything that comes their way? JYP took the first step but will he take more? can we count on him to defend the artists against the evil hiding behind the "fan" mask? if you can succeed once you can succeed numerous times. Why not go after sasaengs in the same manner it's not that difficult is it? I mean they flaunt their actions all over it shouldn't be that hard to stop them .

Companies should follow JYP's example and action and start a motion forget Hallyu Wave start the Wave of justice for your artists who are treated unfairly by the public. When there is a sasaeng that texts a star photos of their own home and property proving they have illegal access to their home and property go to the authorities and go after the person. They have proof phone records will show the person sent the text and where from the photo is proof of where it was taken and the stars number that hasn't been given was also possessed in a manner of which was not the stars doing. Fight for the freedom of your artist fairly make them feel working with and for you is the best choice they made in their lives!

Sasaengs Netizens Anti fans they have no fear because they do not believe in the Korean Justice system and I doubt anyone can blame them . I believe it is time that companies managers and stars themselves give them reason to worry about doing wrong to the stars working hard to bring the people good quality entertainment.

Fancafes ( )-Jinyo

All These I DEMAND THE TRUTH CAFES make my blood boil are you serious! come on give it a rest do you have nothing better to do with your lives than to accuse stars of lying or digging into their personal lives. The person who has the most reason to hate those cafes is probably Epik High's Tablo whom had to deal with alot because of them and has stated they contributed to his fathers death.

they have gone after him over his education then they went after another entertainers daughter about her education and now they are going after IU and Eunhyuk over if they are dating or not? come on really?

for those of you who are unaware here is a link to catch up on this new development

http://www.soompi.com/2012/11/13/i-jinyo-and-i-mitsa-cafes-formed-after-iu-eunhyuks-selca-scandal/

not too long ago IU accidentally posted a photo of them together where she is in a pj top and he appears topless seems as though they are lying on a bed and it fueled more rumors that the two were dating even though they have denied it. honestly I do not see what the big fuss is. Do I not understand because I am not Korean? or is it simply because I have been taught that the private lives of others have absolutely nothing to do with me ? how does them being a couple affect my daily life? it doesn't except for the annoyance of others freaking out over it like they have the right to stake claim on the private personal lives of people they do not even know.

When they are ready to come out as a couple they will perhaps they are just very close friends it is not impossible after all they are limited to whom they are friends with given all the attention they receive. It's not impossible for people of the opposite sex to be close friends some of my best friends are males and when seen together we used to get mistaken as lovers but we have always been nothing more than friends. So why can't it be the same for them people seem to forget that stars are human.

As that Link above shows another cafe was made as well it is called a I-MitSa Cafe this cafe is the total opposite of the truth cafes and is set up to try and protect IU and Eunhyuk and once everything dies down with them other artists in the same position they are currently in. Bravo to the fans who are trying to help out their idols in a positive way.

Update Open World Entertainment

http://www.asianjunkie.com/2013/07/open-world-entertainment-ceos-sentence-finalized-jang-seok-woo-to-serve-6-years/

Having changed the original link the story may be a bit different but what it comes down to is still present.
In August he was sentenced to 6 years although they were trying to get him 9 years honestly I still think it's too little I say it should be 5 years per victim at least. It was also said he was calling the only victim out of 4 that was still testifying against him threatening her.

He is currently trying to have his sentence lessened by admitting his guilt instead of denying it like he had done previously hoping that in admitting to his guilt and trying to suck up his sentence will be less long. This man makes me sick. I have read the new link I posted up above and in that link it says what the results of his plea , he still got 6 years , 5 years with a public record and has to do some  kind of therapy. I do not understand how things work in Korea  I do know however that here in Canada if you commit such an act and were found guilty it ALWAYS STAYS on your personal record. Whenever you commit a felony it will be there as a prior conviction not just after 5 years or so that kind of thing does not disappear! that kind of behavior with as many victims as he's already had  it's likely to reoccur and that is why it's important to be in the file because it shows a prior disposition to such acts.

Twitter frenzy

I'm sorry I have not posted anything in a month or so but there have been things in my life I had to take care of and honestly nothing really stood out to me until just recently but I was sick all last month and am currently still not in the best of health.

There is one thing that caught my eye some time ago but I didn't feel up to writing a post about it although I did comment on both my twitter and facebook on the matter. The matter being JYJ's Jaejoong and his twitter.

Many fans or lets at least just put them in some kind of category went mental when the star had no more profile on twitter. Be it hacker made or by his own hand his profile was reduced to 3 dots as so ... This had fans saying things such as I lost all hope that profile was the only thing keeping my faith in the 5 of them becoming 1 again so on so forth yadayada blahblah.

At this point I was sitting there rolling my eyes at the outrageous things these netizens were saying or trying to say. Automatically they were on a wild blind goose chase threatening the shadows on the wall for hurting their precious. You have no idea what is going on and yet you are throwing threats around as though you have every right to do so. ATTENTION Cyber Mafia now Hiring prerequisites EXTREME FAN GIRL

I do not understand fangirls you are trying to support him? ok well how about this for a thought let the man sleep instead of spamming his twitter with your so called concern "don't worry oppa we will get those people hurting you we will protect oppa"

"Oppa" probably has notifications off so that twitter does not keep him up all night with the fan girls and their delusions. Many people have written about this kind of stuff on facebook and I am going to post my friend Asias status in which some of us have commented.

I really hate selfish fans. I cannot fathom why they think their happiness means more than the idol's. Why as soon as an idol leaves a group, does or says something the fan doesn't agree with, leaves a website because it's not good for them, etc., fans can't just trust the idol that they've made the right decision for themselves. All they care about is what THEY think happened, and how it affects
THEM. I'm sorry if i hurt some feelings but its fucking true. Its not about you, you're just a fan. In the grand scheme of things you have ZERO power over the idol. They make their own damn decisions and no matter how much you bitch and complain about it what's done is done. Jaejoong left Twitter, its sad but think about it. Is him leaving REALLY that bad? Is Twitter SUCH a great website that you just can't understand why he would leave? Maybe you do understand, you just are worried that now you can't keep up with his life. Sorry that's the sad reality of a fan. They choose how much we get to hear and see about them.

that is the status and next I will have the comments in "

AW: "Twitter sucks anyway lmao I only have one because it's the best way to contact certain people. Actually only one person lol Jaejoong can do what he wants. He's a person first, idol second. And people forget that he's a sweet sensitive man and can't deal with the bullshit people keep throwing at him on Twitter. It's ridiculous! People acting like this is the biggest tragedy ever. -_- "OMG I'm gonna cry myself to sleep and hope when I wake up this is just a nightmare" "the people who hacked him deserve to burn in hell" "OMG SO SAD I'M GONNA DIE" omg stfu lol"

Asia : Riiigghhht!?? Lol glad you understand

WWS: "so many people wrapped up in the life of one idol. I'm sure the boys love their fans, but there has to be a line that should not be crossed. In America it is called stalking-in Korea, it is called reality. Jae has to do what is best for him, and I am sure that there are several hundred stalkers that will still keep everyone informed of his life. Just tell the ones who so upset at Jae to hook up with John Egg. At least he isn't a stalker, but will keep them filled in of upcoming things and pics."

Then there is me who wrote I hear you loud & clear on this I've been saying pretty much the same since everyone started their freakout over his bio being gone. Saying it was holding them all together blablablahblab
I'm just kinda whatever not like he ever answered pretty much any of us fans back he just let us know a bit more about his Here n now

then another girl commented

KL: "tbh, im not sorry about any hurt feelings. i know i sound mean. too bad. we are fans. not their leaders. our purpose is encouragement and support. and if you're like me, worrying and wondering if theyre ok/got to rest/etc. i admit i was upset when aoi deleted his twitter. not because i couldnt follow his life story, but because of what caused it."

I then responded to her

KL I understand what you are saying but people still take things too far all the same . I worry about everyone but I do not go apeshit over it.

Twitter helps fans see more into the lives of the artists we see the things we shouldn't see and are willing to show us. Since we are not sasaengs we do not know what they do in their everyday lives and although we may get curious over what they do a majority of us normal fans are happy with things this way knowing they will show us what they want us to see through twitter. It is a privilege given to us by the star it is by no means an OBLIGATION. people take things for granted where the stars are involved they have the right to their privacy "FANS" need to stop acting like they own them because they don't!

Another thing that annoys me on twitter is the fan aggression I understand you get upset when your bias is hurt. I get it I hate seeing people hurt. I do not agree however with having my feed filled with hate messages to shippers about how they are crazy and deserve to die. I get it that they are mentally unhinged but you are equally unhinged to go on some emo trip wish of death list frenzy. NOBODY and I mean NOBODY has the right to tell someone else to go die because they are crazy. God is the only one with the right to decide what makes you so great that you have the right to tell someone to kill themselves? Crazy people need help not death wishes.

What is wrong with the world that violence is the first thing they turn to in any state of mind or emotion. Do you think Oppas are happy that they have one group of psychos threatening the other group of psycho's all in the name of Love for Oppa? give me a break they aren't going to pay anymore attention to you then they do to the crazies that make them cringe in their books you are as cringe worthy as the girls that follow them or have their minds set that they are a true life pair of star crossed lovers.

People who believe they own a person or that they are entitled to every waking moment of a stars life need some professional health services.
